Permitting/Planning

The Home Improvement Roof Grant Program provides grants to eligible homeowners to rehabilitate or replace their aging and deteriorated home roofs. The goal of the program is to improve the quality of life for very low-income homeowners, specifically those on a fixed income such as older adults, by helping homeowners acquire safe and code compliant roofs.
To be eligible for a grant, you must meet all of the following requirements:
- Own and occupy a single-family home as your primary residence.
- Live in an area of Long Beach designated by the federal government as a Community Development Block Grant area. Look up your address to verify eligibility.
- Meet program income requirements.
