       OUTREACH

If you are trying to help someone experiencing homelessness through outreach, please contact us at (562) 570-4MSC (4672) or email HomelessServices@longbeach.gov.

Outreach is a vital part of our homelessness response: it allows the City to meet people where they are, literally, to develop trust.

The City operates several homeless outreach teams that travel throughout the city to offer services and basic needs. We also have three specialized teams called Restorative Engagement to Achieve Collective Health (REACH). The REACH teams consist of a mental health clinician, public health nurse and outreach worker who help people with complex mental and physical health needs and help connect people with longer term care.
